Issues & Options:

Tendring District Council is holding a public consultation on the Issues and Options that will need to be considered as part of the Local Plan Review.

Through this Issues and Options consultation residents, businesses, community representatives, developers, landowners and anyone else with an interest in the future of Tendring can submit their views about what should be included in the updated Local Plan. 

Call for Sites:

Alongside the Issues and Options consultation, Tendring District Council is also inviting proposals and suggestions for housing and mixed-use developments of different scales, commercial development, community-led or environment-led proposals for community facilities, habitat creating and open spaces.

Key Dates

Consultation period runs from Monday 3rd March 2025 until 5pm on Monday 14th April 2025.

Tendring District Council will be holding drop-in events from 3pm – 7pm to answer any questions and assist with responding to the consultation at the following locations:

Monday 17th March: Harwich,1912 Centre, Cow Lane Kings Quay Street, CO12 3ES

Tuesday 18th March: Brightlingsea, Parish Hall, Victoria Place, CO7 0BP

Monday 24th March: Lawford, Lawford Venture Centre, Bromley Road, Lawford, Manningtree, CO11 2JE

Wednesday 26th March: Walton on the Naze, The Columbine Centre, Prince’s Esplanade, CO14 8PZ
